Worship Services Our services begin at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday. We try to include a wide variety of music, offering what is often called a "blended worship" style, and the goal of our preaching is to offer a means for the Word of God to speak for itself. Our nursery is staffed during the sermon by volunteers from the congregation but is optional -- kids are welcome wherever it is most comfortable for them and most likely for them AND their parents to have a worship experience they can relate to and absorb. This is available for toddlers through preschool. The easiest access for persons with handicaps or any difficulty getting around is at the side entrance (white door half way along the side of the building). A wheelchair lift and ramps provide easy access to every area of the building, and the restroom upstairs is easiest to reach. We also offer wireless listening assistance devices (a small radio with padded ear pieces) for those who would like them during the service. These are available from the ushers. Our hope is for everyone to feel at home. Please don't feel that you have to dress like you're being sworn in as president, and when the offering comes around please know that as our guest, your gift is welcome but you're under no obligation. No pressure, just make yourself at home!
Christian Education
Our High School Fellowship (Youth Group) is open to all high school age students whether they attend this or any church. We meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Fridays (with Pastor Tom) and make time for our own worship, prayer for our own concerns, and all kinds of deep discussion (and of course we goof around and have fun). We participate annually in the 30 Hour Famine - a weekend long (you guessed it) fast and retreat to raise funds and awareness to combat malnutrition in children worldwide. Special pint-sized events are occasionally planned for the Sunday School age kids as well!
Missions Support We regularly support a wide variety of missions activities through our Denomination, as part of our giving and stewardship. This includes:
As years go by, we have also had opportunity to commission a number of young people to short and long term missions work, and the number of things our members participate in locally is difficult to do justice to. Have a look at our MISSIONS BUDGET to get a better idea of how you can contribute and how our funds are distributed.
Special Events Special speakers, concerts, visiting missionaries, picnics & family events, dinners... you never know what we might list here. There's always something. Keep in touch and join in!
