Earthquake Relief

On Saturday, August 14th 2021, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck the Tiburon Peninsula of the nation of Haiti. The hypocenter was near Petit-Trou-de-Nippes, which is about 90 miles west of the capital, Port-au-Prince. As of September 1, 2021, at least 2,100 people lost their lives and more than 12,000 were injured. By God’s grace, Charles’s village of Arcahaie only sustained minor damage, but Charles and his ministry team quickly rushed into action to help neighboring communities who incurred much greater damage and loss of life.

In the 2 weeks following the earthquake, Chester Baptist raised $2,800 to purchase medicine, tarps, cereal, rice, vitamins, sheet metal, lumber, and cement to help Haitians in the Nicola Mountain Village. Below are pictures and videos that contain Charles and his team gathering supplies, assessing the needs of Nicola families, and delivering the much needed supplies. Please keep Charles, his team, and each of these families in your prayers as they continue to recover from this disaster and find their hope in Jesus.
